Bing Ying Poon
Jessica Bing Ying Poon is a PhD student on the organization and management track of the health policy program at the University of California in Berkeley. She received her BA with honors in biology and philosophy from UC Berkeley where she studied decision-making under uncertainty. These questions took her to New York where she worked on health outcomes research regarding screening and treatment decisions with Dr. Andrew Vickers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Here, she also led a team that provided surgeons with personalized quality assurance feedback. She is currently pursuing her research interests in medical education, communication and decision-making under the guidance of Dr. Stephen Shortell and Dr. Hector Rodriguez.
